captain queeg's JournalThanks everyone. It went well but haven't talked to my Dr yet.
At least that I remember. It was delayed about 4 hrs because he had an emergency patient. I talked to him a little prior to the surgery. He had me do a couple moves and said he thought I was a lot better than the MRI had made it look. Not in much pain so Im hoping for good results.
Wow, I was just listening to Roosevelt's Day of Infamy speech after Pearl Harbor was attacked
Early in Roosevelt's speech to congress he said indeed one hour after Germanys air squadrons started bombing . I cant believe Id never heard that mentioned anywhere before. Pretty big faux pa, but Im sure he was already thinking about war with Germany rather than Japan.
Great movie. Eli Wallach was awesome
What was the worst movie you ever saw.
I still remember even though it was well over 50 yrs ago. Back in the 3 channels plus a few UHF we were having a sleep over and turned on one of those old sci-fi/horror shows. It was called The Wizard of Mars. (Ill have to go online and see if its listed somewhere. The thing I remember the astronauts or whatever were in an inflatable raft and being attacked by some sort of crocodile like creatures. They were obviously just painted boards but the best part is you could see the ropes pulling them. I guess it was kind of fun to watch and laugh along the way.
#4. Don't hold your breath. Take a look at his past, including not helping pay their legal expenses
If they havent learned yet, then get your affairs in order. Youll be in a real prison. Trump if convicted will get some white collar country club.
Yep. That's what I think to
But like someone else said shed probably start with a gag order (following granting the prosecutors current request) before jail time. If he ignores the gag order I dont see where home confinement would do anything.
I'd asked them about something to relax
They said I had to get it from the Dr who ordered the MRI and hes in a different city. I decided Id just go ahead and if it was too painful Id just stop them but this time wasnt too bad. That was thurs and I got a call from my Drs office on Friday they wanted me to come in next week to see my doc. That has me a little concerned, I figured it would be a month or more before I got an appt. Makes me think they saw something bad.
The fastest I ever went (on land) was 135mph with another teen driving his brothers Tbird
I was in the back seat. Both me and the front seat passenger were yelling at the driver to slow down or stop. When we got into town and stopped at a sign the passenger dragged the driver out of the car and punched him out. I dont think it cured him because I think he ultimately got in a high speed crash but at least no one was with him. Kids at that age should be limited to something like a VW Bug.
As for them not using their newest tank, they don't want the world to see they are POS
The war has shown Russian equipment to be over rated. Though its really showing their poor tactics, possible customers for Russian arms are going to be turned off.
I cant remember if I read it here or elsewhere, but the details of the sinking of their Black Sea flagship cruiser are illuminating. The ship was the pride of their fleet with a very impressive host of armaments including a 3 tiered air defense, but was sunk by a couple relatively inexpensive cruise missiles. Turns out only one of their longest range air defense missiles was functional as well as their close defense Gatling gun style weapons (only one functional). Their radar systems were mostly not working due to expensive parts being stripped and sold on the black market. And probably the biggest thing, their fire control systems were also largely not functional for similar reasons; stolen parts, fire extinguishers missing. Also throughout the entire ship many important pieces of equipment were locked up for protection and unavailable quickly. All Putins war has accomplished is showing the world that Russia is a paper Tiger.
If you were walking around on those beams and they were one foot off the ground you'd never
Think twice. But when its a thousand feet down its a whole different story. For myself, when I worked on tall concrete structures I got pretty used to it. But getting high on some steel framework that sways in the wind or when a truck comes by...never got used to that. But I suppose if I did it every day Id get used to it. I think of some jobs I had when I was younger that I got used to after awhile and it was just a job.
